We read about pigs, counted money in piggy banks, and painted pigs.
We read about chickens, wrote down chicken facts, and made felt chickens.
We also hunted for eggs and unscrambled letters to form our spelling words.
We visited the Manhattan Beach Aquarium. We picked our favorite sea creature and read about what they ate and how they protected themselves. Isaac's favorite was a sting ray - they eat crabs, clams, and worms and have a stinger to protect themselves. Meili's favorite was a purple starfish - they eat sea monkeys and can regenerate lost limbs.
Isaac got to make his own pizza!
Isaac met a few Dodger baseball players, as well as learned about building structures with straw, wood, and brick.
We visited Amy's Farm. During our visit we learned about compost, winter vegetables, feeding chicken and pigs.
We even got to brush a horse and milk a cow.
We read about cows and wrote down facts about them. We also made butter and buttermilk pancakes from heavy cream and learned about where cream comes from.

We went on a hike at Deukmejian and wrote spelling words in the dirt.
